Reading a story–common core workbook

Maggie completed her first story in the common core workbook.  I read a story & she answered questions based on the story (about 5).  She got them all correct.  She then allowed me to do hand over hand and help her to write and form the sentences that were her answers. She only got bored at the very end which was 15-20 mins into it after discussion.  I need to pick up the pace but still get the info in.
