The pink series intro

Todsy I introduced the kids to the pink series language works by Montessori fashion. Maggie chose to work with words comtaining the vowel sound /u/.  Lily worked with /a/.  A small square box holds both pictures & words to be matched alongside each other. I chose 3 matches/words each, putting the pictures in one selection bowl and the words in the other for both kiddos. They successfully matched them and after each match of picture to word, reading & sounding out, they spelled each word under their row set up.  They did great with this activity. We got through about 6-7 words a piece before they became restless.  Maybe more next time.  Maggie is struggling with this activity & it is very easy for Lily as she has the phonetic background she does.
