Decimal System and Grammar Board

Above shown is the decimal system materials where we played “the bank game” which is based in montessori.  You name an amount and we make it up with the wooden tiles where the kiddo then goes to the ‘bank’ or the thousands, hundreds, tens, ones area and they get that amount.  We write it down on a board also to understand how a number is read for instance.

In the same fashion above are pictured blue material for counting.  The girls used this material with like pages in their workbooks I picked out ahead of time.

The girls match grammar cards to their names and symbols before we get started with the grammar boards and sentences.
