Why

I want to remember. So I write it down. Otherwise, I don’t remember. And even with words I still might not remember what I was intending to later because my life will have changed so much since I have written it, that it will mean something entirely different when re read. Everything
changes. Even the things we think are written in stone because they are written. We hold them timeless. But they are as timeless as we are resistant to change for only as long as it takes the writer to read what they’ve written.
I want to remember. But my intention is not to just remember. It is to reflect. Reflections can help us remember. Like mirrors they show the self. But they are just that, reflections. They are not timeless and neither are we. Once we can see that, then we can call ourselves free.
